Windows 10 Touchpad Gestures

Touchpad gestures are a convenient way to quickly perform tasks on Windows 10 laptops and computers using your fingers and a compatible touchpad.

Please note that some of these gestures will only work with precision touchpads.

How to find out if your laptop has precision touchpads?

  1. Press Start button.
  1. Click Settings.
  1. Select Devices, then Touchpad.

Try out these gestures on the touchpad of your Windows 10 laptop

Select an itemTap on the touchpad.
ScrollPlace two fingers on the touchpad and slide horizontally or vertically.
Zoom in or outPlace two fingers on the touchpad and pinch in or stretch out.
Show more commands (similar to right-clicking)Tap the touchpad with two fingers or press in the lower-right corner.
See all open windowsPlace three fingers on the touchpad and swipe them away from you.
Show the desktopPlace three fingers on the touchpad and swipe them towards yourself.
Switch between open windowsPlace three fingers on the touchpad and swipe right or left.
Open CortanaTap three fingers on the touchpad.
Open action centerTap four fingers on the touchpad.
Switch virtual desktopsPlace four fingers on the touchpad and swipe right or left.
