The following KB provides you all the important information regarding the ‘RODIN Control’ tool.

  • If this is your first time using RODIN Control please start with the ‘Initial Configuration’ section.
  • If you are a returning user please see ‘Using RODIN Control’.
  • If you have forgotten your password please see ‘Reset Password’.

Initial Configuration

The following outlines the initial configuration required to be completed upon receiving an email with your username and temporary password.

  • If you have already completed the ‘Initial Configuration’ please continue to ‘Using RODIN Control’.

Account Setup

  1. Navigate to ‘https://control.rodin.com.au/
  2. Click the ‘Login’ button located in the top right.

  3. Enter your ‘User Name’ and ‘Password’. Click ‘Login’.

  4. Re-Enter the temporary ‘Password’. Enter a new ‘Password’ twice. Click ‘Change Password’.

Remote Workforce Client Setup

  1. Navigate to ‘https://control.rodin.com.au/
  2. Click the ‘Remote Workforce Client’ logo located in the top right. Click ‘Download Remote Workforce Client’.

    If you receive a ‘was blocked because it could harm your device’ prompt, please Click ‘Keep’ and ‘Keep anyway’.

  3. Open the file you downloaded. It is likely in your ‘Downloads’ folder.

    If you receive a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prompt, Click ‘More Info’ then ‘Run anyway’.

You have successfully completed the initial RODIN Control configuration. Please continue to ‘Using RODIN Control’.

Logging In

Web Portal

  1. Navigate to ‘https://control.rodin.com.au/
  2. Click the ‘Login’ button located in the top right.

  3. Enter your ‘User Name’ and ‘Password’. Click ‘Login’.

  4. Check your email for the ‘One-Time Password’.

  5. Enter your ‘One-Time Password’. Select ‘Trust this device’. Click ‘Login’.

Remote Workforce Client Login

  1. Open the file you previously downloaded. It is likely in your ‘Downloads’ folder.

    If you receive a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prompt, Click ‘More Info’ then ‘Run anyway’.

  2. Enter your ‘User Name’ and ‘Password.

  4. Enter the ‘One-Time Password’. Click ‘Submit’.

Using RODIN Control

The following outlines how to use the ‘RODIN Control’ platform. There are two options with how you interact with RODIN Control.

We recommend that you use the ‘Remote Workforce Client’ option.

Please contact the RODIN helpdesk team if you require any further assistance.

Launching Remote Workforce Client

  1. Login to RODIN Control by following either the ‘Web Portal’ or ‘Remote Workforce Client’ instructions.
    • If using the ‘Web Portal’ method Double Click your workstation once logged in.

      • If this is your first time launching RODIN Control. Check the ‘Always allow’ and Click ‘Open’.

  2. You should now have a remote connection to your workstation.

Quick Tips

Block Guest Input

Blocking guest input stops the mouse or keyboard plugged into your workstation from interacting with your remote session whilst you are connected.

Blank Guest Monitor

Blanking the guest monitor stops the monitors plugged into your workstation from displaying what you are viewing with your remote session whilst you are connected.

NOTE: When you disconnect your workstation automatically locks, keeping it secure.

Multiple Monitors

If you are using Multiple screens at home, and have multiple screens at Work, you can split the screens by pressing the button circled. This will give you two separate windows for each screen, which you can then move to the specific screen and maximise.

Connecting Local Printers

  1. Once your session has been established, From the top menu bar click on the lightning bolt, to open the essentials menu.
  2. Toggle the “Activate Remote Printing” to on (the box will turn blue)

  3. After a short time, you will see your printer appear in the list of devices available to print to. The Printer you want to choose will be the printer with your email at the end.

Printers that are added via the Rodin Remote Control App will have your email address at end of the printer name to show that it is a remote printer.

Account Management

Reset Password

  1. Navigate to ‘https://control.rodin.com.au/
  2. Click the ‘Login’ button located in the top right.

  3. Click ‘Forgot Password?’

  4. Enter your ‘User Name’ (this is generally your work email address). Click ‘Get Reset Code’.
