New 3CX Client and Desktop App
In V18, 3CX have improved the Web Client.
3CX have also made it available also as a native Windows Desktop App, eliminating the need for the Web Client all-together.
The Desktop App has the same identical interface layout as the Web Client. Requiring no new learning, existing Web Client users can easily switch between the two, making navigation simple and familiar.
That’s right, once you have the new Windows Desktop App installed, you will no longer need to use the Web Client. The Desktop App includes improved headset compatibility and more reliable desktop notifications.
The new Desktop App uses the same Electron framework used by Teams and WhatsApp, integrating better with the OS for a more reliable user experience.
The Desktop App allows you to answer a call from the page you are working in (example CRM) without having to switch between apps.
Manage calls through Hotkeys & Headsets
The Desktop App includes hotkeys enabling users to set up personalized shortcuts to allow quick navigation and call handling.
To further aid simple call management, the new Yealink headset integration among others, allow users to answer, reject, mute, and place the caller on hold – all from the headset button.

Did you know? In V18, staff can also log in to the web client with their Microsoft account.
