Linking your phone to Windows

Many people use a Windows PC and Android phone that is why making these two platforms work together is important. Link to Windows and Phone Link app can make it possible.

In this article, we will show you how to integrate your Android phone with your Windows PC, giving you access to your phone’s notifications, text messages, photos, and more – right on your PC.

Step 1 – Setup Link to Windows app on Android phone

  1. On your Android phone, download the Link to Windows app from the Google Play Store.



  2. Open the app and tap Link your phone and PC to start.

Step 2 – Setup Phone Link app on your Windows 10 PC

  1. Click the Start button to launch Phone Link app.



  2. To start setting up Phone Link, click Get started.



  3. Check the box next to I have the Link to Windows app ready then click Pair with QR code.



  4. Back on your Android device, tap Continue on the “Is the QR code on your PC ready?” screen.



  5. Scan the QR code on your PC using your phone camera.

Step 3 – Setup app permissions

After it connects, you will need to grant the Android app some permissions to access the following:

  • Contacts

  • Photos and media

  • Allow to make and manage phone calls

  • Send and receive text messages.

Click Allow to proceed with all of them.

You may be also asked to let the app run in the background to stay connected to your PC. Select Allow to proceed.

Once these permissions are set, click Continue on Phone Link app on your Windows 10 PC.

You now have access to your Android device on your Windows 10 PC.
