Sending a meeting request on behalf of someone else is possible in Outlook. In this article, we will provide step-by-step procedures on how to do it.

Step 1: Give Delegate Access to another user

  1. In Outlook, click File from the menu.

  1. Click Account Settings, then Delegate Access.

  1. To choose a user whom the calendar will be delegated from the address book, click Add.

  1. Type the name of the user from the Global Address List, click Add then click OK.

Step 2: Use your access to send a request

  1. Click Calendar in Outlook.
  1. Select Open Calendar, then click Open Shared Calendar.

  1. Click New Meeting in the new group on the Home tab. Enter the meeting attendees, location, and start and end times as you would do on your own calendar.
  1. Select Send once the meeting request is completed.
