When you decide you no longer want your PC to be a part of a network, you can either disconnect it from a network or forget a Wi-Fi connection.

How to forget Wi-Fi connection

  1. Click the Start icon then go to Settings > Network & Internet.

  2. Select Wi-fi then click Manage known networks.

  3. Tap or click the Wi-Fi network name then select Forget.

When you forget a Wi-Fi connection, Windows discards the network information, which includes the saved network password. You can always reconnect to any network by simply supplying the password again, as well as the network type.
