To look for the computer name if you’re sharing computer’s screen or files, where other users on your network can find your Mac, you may follow these steps:

  1. Choose Apple menu then click System Preferences.
  1. Click Sharing.

The computer name for your Mac appears at the top of Sharing preferences.
