Change computer’s name on a Mac device

Changing your computer’s name on a Mac device is easy.

Follow the steps on how to change your computer’s name:

1. Select the Apple icon then click System Preferences.

2. Under System Preferences, click Sharing.

3. Click the text box next to Computer Name to enter a new name.

When you click anywhere outside the text box, it will change the name of your Mac.
